Single or double bowl sink: what to check
Choose one or two bowls around your utensils, kitchen workflow and the verified cabinet and sink dimensions.
One or two bowls change how you work in the kitchen. Consider what you wash by hand, how you use your dishwasher and which containers need to fit.
One bowl: a continuous working area
A single washing area can be convenient for handling trays and pans. Whether they fit depends on the actual usable bowl dimensions. Comparing a tray with the sink's overall width is not enough: consult the drawing and technical description.
Two bowls: separate tasks
Two areas can help separate tasks such as washing and rinsing. Check the usable size of each and the layout that fits your cabinet. Do not assume equal bowls or equal heights; read the model's dimensions.
Project checks
- Measure the largest utensils you use regularly.
- Record free cabinet space, including supports and drawers.
- Review waste connections, tap position and maintenance access with the installer.
- Compare the drawings of the available models.
- Choose material, colour and finish using the worktop reference.
Compare cost consistently
Keep material and finish the same when comparing models. Design and size also affect price; the number of bowls alone does not establish the price difference.
Save your configurations and review the order terms before confirming. If a drawing does not specify an internal measurement needed for your choice, ask the team. A use example helps frame the decision but does not guarantee that a particular utensil fits every model.
